Now that you've had a chance to think about the complexity of your body and acknowledge your influences in life, take a second to think about your experiences. Browse real life situations below.
You've spoken and we've listened.
Guess what? We all experienced similar situations when we were prep student athletes.

"I'm tired a lot and I get shamed for it by my parents, friends, teammates, and coaches. It's also harder and harder for me to focus at school."

"It's hard to buy into your team when your administrators and coaches are caught cheating, costing us to forfeit the season."

"Parent's always play their kids, even if they aren't good. I'm better, but I have to sit."

"I got super muscular and really body fat. If I'm honest, I've been injured more and my performance hasn't really been much better."

"I have a personal trainer and I think they really help me. They even give me nutrition plans*. I'm doing better than before, but I still feel like I should do a lot better." [*It's illegal for non-registered dietitians (RD) and certified nutrition specialists (CNS) to prescribe plans.]

"I get injured a lot. I always feel bad. My parent's think I'm faking it so I hide my injuries. Then I get shamed by coaches and teammates for not doing as well as I should."

"I'm like super old-you know-once you hit 17 your body has taken it's tole from sports. My knees just don't have it anymore, but that's life." (said in bragging, badge of honor way)

"I'm a 100m sprinter trying to make it to state. My track coach says I don't have to strength train for running. That it's not a thing. He's been doing this for 30-40 years."
